Client John G – Arrived at our studio in November, 2014… recovering from a Bi-Lateral knee replacement 12 weeks prior.  His range of motion was very low- and felt as if he needed to ‘stretch’ vs. crunch which is where his Rehab at another location had him doing.  He knew what he needed, and came in to see us.  After just a short time, he’s back playing competitive Tennis – WINNING…. lunging for shots he was not able to take prior to his knee replacement.  He’s amazing – healthy – and mobile – We focused on lengthening and strengthening the muscles around the knee – quads, hamstrings, balance, and he has far exceeded where the Surgeon expected him to be at this point.  Johns’ motto when he first came to us was “Strong like Bull, Tight like Drum… Look out Pilates – here I come!”  Now his motto is “Strong Like Bull, Not tight like Drum.. Look what PILATES HAS DONE!

Case Study- Female Tennis Player – The  client came to us because she was having difficulty with her serves.  Her back was always tight and she wasn’t able to get the ‘reach’ that was required with her serve – When she fully served -time and time again, her lower back was hurting.  She worked with Camille who  taught her about body mechanics of the serve.Through the process of  working together with specific exercises tailored to her needs….it enabled her to think more of ‘extension’ of the entire spinal column – focusing on upper thorasic (between shoulder blades)..vs. bending backwards with the lower back.  I’m happy to report, that our client has made a significant improvement with her serves, and is a proven winner!

Case Study-Female Runner – This client came to us through a referral from her Massage Therapist ….she was having difficulty with an ‘adductor’ muscle -on her left leg.  While Camille was doing her ‘postural analysis’ and ‘gate’ analysis, Camille noticed that this client, when walking, through her right hip forward in every step..thereby torquing her adductor muscles on the opposite side! Clients gate was ‘enhanced’…and is on the road to recovery – getting back to running!
